Always keep Site Structure of your Website simple

Appropriate Keywords: Keywords plays a very important role in creating a content, that does not mean to go for keyword stuffing. Always use a keyword that is relevant/ specific to the user as it will be easy for them to find relevant content or solution they need. Always be particular with the data as it has to be unique and user specific not for the search engines. Do thorough research of Keywords as it will easy for the user to find the relevant and related content.

Using Categories: Try to keep less catogories as it is useful in terms of navigating the website. It always suggested to have upto four or five categories. Use proper categories such as Movies, Restaurants, Business rather then coming up with a category on every topic written.

Titles: This has to be a brief and unique for each page which describes that particular page. This also applies to the actual title, headings and meta title found in search engines. Having said that earlier use of appropriate keywords and phrases does help the search engines and user to find the relevant topic as only 150 to 160 characters of description appears in the search engine.

Proper Descriptions: It is only description that describes the page hence always go for the unique descriptions and title for every page, avoid duplicate description and title. Use descriptions that are relevant to the site and avoid keyword stuffing in it.

Appropriate URL's: Use the appropriate URL for your site. Make the URL user specific and avoid keeping it long and more numeric. Dont use much Keywords in the URL's else use whatever is relevant to the content.

Using Alt / Anchor text: Alt text is use to describe pictures and Anchor is a used as a text hyperlink to other pages. Anchor text should be specific, it should help the user to understand which page he will be going to on clicking the anchor text. Do not use generic text like Click here, Page, Article etc.
Alt text using picture resembles what content will be there on your page if clicked on it. Hence it always recommended to show the exact picture as per the content on your page. For instance if your site is about hotels and the picture is of an Ambulance is totally irrelevant. Hence is always recommended to use appropriate and exact picture as per the content on the site.

Site Structure: Make your site structure simple for both user and search engine. Initially the keywords was the only medium to search your site online however now-a-days everything should be pertaining to the site and page.
